Spirit of the Hill Country – La Casa Escondida (the hidden house) Soaring over the Blanco River valley in true Spanish style, this unique property provides commanding views, ultimate privacy and sophisticated comforts. On 3+ private acres, just outside of Wimberley, Texas, this Hill Country retreat offers a variety of accommodations, including the main home, a “private” casita, and the pool cabana. The main house, known as the Casa Grande, includes three bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, high vaulted ceilings, and a sparkling in-ground swimming pool and spa. In addition, the house is fully equipped with all of the conveniences of your own home, including a washer/dryer, cable T.V., a VCR/DVD player, a 300 plus CD player and wood burning fireplace. For those needing internet access, the home has an Ethernet broadband connection available as well. The Spanish-tiled roof 2-vehicle open-air carport will also come in handy on those warm Texas afternoons, providing plenty of shade and a breathtaking view of the valley below. The freestanding “Casita” is a charming and secluded villa providing guests the ultimate in privacy and intimacy. Equipped with an abundance of amenities, the Casita comes with it’s own private outdoor hot-tub Jacuzzi, sitting areas, and large balcony to enjoy the morning sun or evening tranquility. Enjoy the king-size bed, bathroom with shower, cozy furnishings, and serene setting in your own private villa. The “Cabana” is located at the pool level, downstairs from the main home. It has a private entrance and outside sitting area, kitchenette and full bath. This cozy and quaint dwelling provides privacy and a spectacular view of the river valley below. The cabana offers easy access to the swimming pool and heated spa, located on the large redwood deck below. All guests at Casa Escondida have access to the beautifully maintained swimming pool, enabling guests to survey the Blanco River valley from the spacious decks and Saltillo-tiled terrace. There is plenty of native landscaping with stone patios and walking paths throughout the property and concrete sidewalks around the house. Relax poolside, take a nap in the hammock, or just enjoy nature as you explore the hillside.
